MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Newly appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Jose Javier Reyes bares his plans and vision as he officially assumes his position on April 8, 2024.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) presents this year’s “Parangal ng Sining,” an annual bestowment of recognition to exemplary Filipino artists, scholars, and organizations for their significant contributions to the development of Philippine cinema. The awarding ceremony will be held on April 19, 2024 at Seda Vertis North, Quezon City.

The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) discussed future collaborations for Cinema Rehiyon and other NCCA projects on April 25 in Manila.

I am immensely grateful to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., for entrusting me the position of FDCP Chairperson since 2022 and allowing me the chance to serve and give back to the industry.

FDCP’s Cine Lokal takes you back in time this April with the film ‘Throwback Today’, the debut feature film of Joseph Teoxon and a finalist of the 2017 Cinema One Originals Independent Film Festival.

The film features an impressive line-up of actors lead by Carlo Aquino, with Annicka Dolonnuis, Kat Galang, Benj Manalo and Empress Schuck. The film is set to screen in eight (8) partnered SM Cinema venues of Cine Lokal.
