Pres. Duterte appoints actress Liza Diño as the new chairperson of FDCP
The President knows how to thank his supporters.
After Aiza Seguerra’s appointment as chairperson and CEO of National Youth Commission (NYC), it’s Liza Diño’s turn as she has appointed by President Rodrigo as chairperson for Film Development Council of the Philippnes (FDCP), August 12.
The actress replaced Briccio G. Santos who has the chairperson of the agency since 2010. Liza accepted the offer for she believes in the advocacies of the Duterte Administration.
FDCP is under the office of the Office of the President. It is the lead agency for film that implements policies and programs to uplift the art of film making in the country.
Diño and Seguerra have been very supportive to Duterte’s presidency. They’ve seen in many events, encouraging people to vote for Duterte. They’ve been very active in the social media, supporting and defending the President.
Diño expressed her support to administration for their advocacy in promoting arts and culture.
She has appeared in some tv series and starred in mainstream and independent films. She is multi-awarded actress and she showed support to local films as she believes it creates influence.
Some of her awards were Best Actress at the International Film Festival Manhattan New York and Best Female Performance at the Equality Film Festival in 2012.
Also, she showed support to Lumads together with her partner Aiza Seguerra.
Liza and Aiza now has the cards in their hands, the public are eyeing on them since they have been very vocal with what they believe in. The game is on for the two.
