MANILA, PHILIPPINES, NOVEMBER 19, 2021 — To further promote ‘edutainment’ on its streaming platform and make it more accessible to local and international audiences, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) upgrades FDCP Channel’s website with additional features.

Starting November 19, the FDCP Channel is featuring a more user-friendly interface, and a hassle-free log-in system, film browsing, and activation of subscription plans. A new subscription plan of PHP 999 for an annual rate with five new tabs to easily flick through films based on their classifications in the freshly-renovated website.

The Cinematheque tab leads to the classic films from across the regions that shaped Philippine Cinema, clicking the Cinelokal tab allows you to watch acclaimed contemporary films from the new masters of Philippine Cinema, the Festival tab directs you to previous and recent films from local film festivals, the Students tab stores all the films from aspiring student filmmakers in the country, and the International tab gives you access to explore foreign films from all over to the world.

“With the growing demand on streaming platforms, our very own FDCP Channel is championing educational entertainment content, aiming to give the audiences a smooth experience whenever they browse and watch homegrown and world cinema on our platform, while giving them their money’s worth,” said FDCP Chairperson and CEO Liza Diño.

Right before the Philippine Film Industry Month ended last September, FDCP Channel launched a total of 104 thematically-curated films.
