MIFA Closing Night

To OUR dearest members of the Philippine delegation to MIFA2021 — what a landmark MIFA festival this was!

Even if we’re all just online, it felt like we were all together in Annecy, sharing the day’s accomplishments, listening to each other’s stories, and celebrating the new connections we made.

53 delegates
4 organizations
29 companies and other private animation workers

This was a formidable delegation of the most important players in our country’s Animation industry, probably the best attended in Philippine history! And the contacts we’ve met, like Warner Media and Toei Animation, the meetings we did, and the webinars we’ve had the privilege to learn from — there are tons to be happy about.

Animation is truly the future, and that future is imminent for us Filipinos. Our talent, our unique perspectives, our ingenuity and elan for storytelling — its going to take us a long way, and the world acknowledges it!

This momentum must be harnessed. And we at FDCP will of course work harder than ever to get the Philippine IP and animation industry to where it should go.

I’d like to profoundly commend the efforts of the participating organization who got us all here together for this fateful event —

President of the Animation Council of the Philippines or ACPI, Mr. Miguel del Rosario

President of the Creative Content Creators Association of the Philippines, Inc. or SIKAP, Mr. Magoo del Mundo

Philippine Animation Workers Association or PAWA,  Mr. Adel Garangan

President of Komiket and Festival Director of the Philippine International Comics Festival or PICOF,  Mr. Paolo Herras.

LAWRENCE PANGANIBAN REPRESENTING CEBU CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

See you all very soon for the next MIFA maybe and in our initiatives throughout the year! Mabuhay po tayong lahat! Mabuhay ang Philippine Animation!
