The International Film Studies Assistance Program (IFSAP) is a program of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) that supports Filipino filmmakers who want to be more exposed to the best filmmaking practices of other countries. A program for Filipino talents who make waves internationally. FDCP believes in the importance of collaboration, hence encourages more Filipino filmmakers to discover various opportunities by participating in international film study programs, labs, and workshops.

The Film Education Convention (FilmEC) bringing together film creatives from the academe and in the industry. This activity-filled event features screenings of exemplary student short films, panel discussions, plenary talks, film book sales, and networking opportunities for film students and educators.

The Academic Film Society (AFS) is the FDCP-led association of schools, colleges, and universities in the Philippines with existing film programs, film courses, film clubs or related student organizations.

The Student Film Assistance Program (SFAP) is a funding program exclusively offered to students who are currently enrolled in AFS-registered colleges and universities and will be producing their thesis film. Successful projects may receive a grant amounting from PHP 30,000.00 to PHP 50,000.00 for the production of a thesis film project.

Now on its 9th edition, the Sine Kabataan will be conducting an open call for story concepts from young filmmakers from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao to continue its goal of supporting young filmmakers from project development to production of their films.

The Film Industry Conference (FIC), first conducted by the FDCP in 2017, aims to bring together international experts and stakeholders to share and discuss the latest trends, opportunities, platforms, and cooperation that Filipino producers and filmmakers can explore for the development, production, and distribution of their projects with the intent of crossing beyond local borders.

FDCP Film Talks designed for aspiring, emerging filmmakers and other audiences who want to learn more about filmmaking with leading film personalities as mentors sharing the latest on the craft, the years of experience, best practices, techniques, and insider knowledge straight from the industry masters.

The FDCP Film School Program has been created to provide film education, trainings and series of workshops to aspiring Filipino filmmakers and film practitioners under the tutelage of established local and international mentors. The program offers film activities that will enhance the interest of future Filipino filmmakers, and develop the audience and filmmakers’ film awareness and skills necessary for quality film production.

Film Location Incentive Program (FLIP) is a selective cash rebate provided by The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), through its Film Philippines Office (FPO), with the aim of promoting the Philippines as a destination for film productions. It is a financial incentive for qualified international projects that involve production, animation, and/or post-production of creative content in the Philippines.

FLEX is your gateway to filming in the Philippines. We provide year-round support for local and foreign productions through inter-agency assistance for government permits, locations, and production logistics, as well as engagement with local production companies, technical suppliers, and crew.

The International Co-Production Fund (ICOF) is a selective fund provided by The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), through the FilmPhilippines Office (FPO), with the aim of promoting the Philippines as a viable filming destination and co-production partner for international projects. This fund is given to qualified Filipino production companies that are co-producing a project (production to post-production) with a foreign partner.

A veritable database of all active audiovisual workers, production companies, and film festivals all over the country, and open avenues for opportunities and activities that will promote the growth and development of the local audiovisual industry and promote its participation in both domestic and world markets.

The FDCP’s Inter-agency Partnership Program aims to support government agencies in their film-related events and executions by providing relevant films, hosting talkbacks, discussions, workshops and providing a venue or platform for the film activities.

Aligned with the Film Development Council’s (FDCP) goal to promote Philippine cinema on the global stage and provide opportunities for filmmakers to represent the country, the International Film Market Assistance Program (IFMAP) has been created to provide support and assistance to Filipino filmmakers whose projects in development or finished films that are ready for presentation are selected in international film markets.

Aligned with the Film Development Council’s (FDCP) goal to promote Philippine cinema on the global stage and provide opportunities for filmmakers to represent the country, the International Film Market Assistance Program (IFMAP) has been created to provide support and assistance to Filipino filmmakers whose projects in development or finished films that are ready for presentation are selected in international film markets.

Every year, the FDCP ensures and strengthens Filipino presence in key international film markets through the Philippine Pavilion. More than an exhibition space, it is aimed at providing business opportunities for the country’s featured companies, specifically through targeted B2B sessions and networking events.

Film festivals are important drivers of film cultures in the regions and in the country. They encourage diversity and for more voices, old and new, to be heard. For the past decade, there has been a surge of local festivals and activities offered to the public. This would lead to a more inclusive appreciation and access to local and alternative content. The Festival Partnership Program (FPP) provides support and assistance to established local festivals which continue to enrich and diversify the Philippines’ film culture.

The Festival Development Assistance Program (FDAP) is a support program of the FDCP that aims to nurture and sustain film communities in the Philippines. FDCP believes that film festivals, especially those in the regions, are platforms to discover emerging voices and serve as venues to champion the film culture of a particular locality. Through this program, FDCP connects with regional film communities by providing financial and program support to sustain their respective film festivals and film-related community activities.

Spotlight: Philippines is a program which aims to promote Philippine cinema globally through partnerships with international festivals, organizations, and institutions. Under this program the Film Development Council of the Philippines showcases retrospectives, special Philippine focus and screenings highlighting significant milestones and key players in Philippine cinema and builds its brand by curating films for international venues and audiences.

FILMS FOR PEACE is a program launched in 2024 by the Film Development Council of the Philippines as part of its 4th Philippine Film Industry Month. It is a short film competition to attest the significance of cinema as a medium of conversation, discussion and understanding of the importance of peace in the aspiration for a truly significant nation building. Films for Peace aspires to use the language of cinema, covering all the regions and languages of the Philippines to show how there is unity in our diversity; and that as Filipinos, we value the importance of mutual understanding, inclusiveness, and compassion for our countrymen.

“Parangal ng Sining” (Honor of the Arts) is FDCP’s initiative to recognize Filipino filmmakers, artists, and institutions who continue to achieve and work for excellence, leading to acclaim in international film festivals across the globe.

ISAPELIKULA is a project aimed at supporting emerging Filipino filmmakers through incubation and match funding. The initiative provides mentorship, financial backing, and networking opportunities to help bring unique and culturally significant film projects to life.

National Artist Program (NAP) was created by the FDCP to recognize and honor the efforts of the filmmakers and artists in producing quality Filipino films for the development of Philippine arts.

The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) held an annual month-long observation of the Philippine Film Industry Month to celebrate and commemorate the heritage, significance, and legacy of Philippine Cinema and to highlight the invaluable contribution and sacrifices of all stakeholders and sectors of the Philippine film industry in September as mandated under the Presidential Proclamation No. 1085, series of 2021.
