TWO FILIPINO FILMS, ONE BIG STAGE IN TORONTO!

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) is proud to support the official Philippine delegation at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), happening September 10–20, 2026.

This year, two Filipino films are part of the festival’s selection:

• ‘Silenced Nights’ by Lawrence Fajardo — Official Selection, Platform Section 

(FDCP Film Philippines Incentive Grantee)

• ‘The Remotes’ by John Torres — Official Selection, Wavelengths Section 

(FDCP CreatePHFilms Funding Grantee)

It’s always exciting to see Filipino filmmakers bring our stories, perspectives, and voices to audiences around the world. 

We hope their work continues to inspire more Filipino filmmakers to dream bigger and tell stories that deserve to be seen.
