FDCP STUDENT FILM ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (SFAP) OPENS A NEW CYCLE FOR 2026
MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) has officially opened Cycle 1 of the Student Film Assistance Program (SFAP), with applications running from April 13 to April 30, 2026.
The Student Film Assistance Program (SFAP) is a funding initiative designed exclusively for students enrolled in AFS-registered colleges and universities who are required to produce a thesis or capstone film. The program supports student filmmakers throughout production by providing grants ranging from Php 30,000 to Php 50,000. Selected applicants will gain access to a one-day masterclass led by an industry professional.
Interested students are encouraged to review the full guidelines, requirements, and application process at fdcp.ph/programs/education/student-film-assistance-program. Applications must be submitted through the official portal at fdcp.ph/sfap2026-call.
SFAP is a recurring FDCP initiative committed to empowering student filmmakers, helping them hone their craft, refine their storytelling, and gain exposure to industry standards, while easing the financial challenges of production.
