FDCP BRINGS LIBONG KULAY - MGA ISTORYA NG QUEZON CINEMATOGRAPHY WORKSHOP TO ATIMONAN
QUEZON, PHILIPPINES – The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), through its Education Division, successfully conducted Libong Kulay - Mga Istorya ng Quezon, a week-long cinematography workshop held from June 16 to 22 in Atimonan, Quezon.
Mentored by acclaimed cinematographer Lee Briones-Meily, the workshop provided aspiring and emerging filmmakers with intensive, hands-on training in cinematography, exploring the intersection of life, nature, and cinema. Throughout the program, participants honed their technical skills while drawing creative inspiration from the rich landscapes, culture, and stories of Quezon.
Going beyond traditional classroom setting, Libong Kulay adopted a site-specific learning approach with sessions conducted across a variety of locations, from controlled indoor set-ups to dynamic outdoor environments. This immersive format allowed participants to gain firsthand experience in applying professional cinematography techniques and adapting to the diverse challenges of real-world film production.
The FDCP made the workshop possible through the invaluable support of its partners: the Municipality of Atimonan headed by Mayor Atty. Elvis Uy, Sony PH, Aputure PH, Hollyland PH, CMB Film Services, Inc., and the Mowelfund Film Institute.
