FDCP OPENS CALL FOR REGIONAL STORYTELLERS IN CENTRAL VISAYAS

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) officially opens applications for Naa Koy Idea (I Have an Idea) - Kwentong Bisaya: Short Film Pitching and Financing Workshop in Cebu, with applications running from June 17 to July 1, 2026. 

Naa Koy Idea (I Have an Idea) is an intensive five-day workshop designed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to navigate the business side of filmmaking. Covering key topics such as pitching, financing, and production strategies, the program bridges the gap between concept and execution, guiding participants in transforming their scripts into pitch-ready projects. 

This program is exclusively open to beginner and emerging filmmakers currently residing in Region 7 Central Visayas. 

Interested applicants must submit submit the following requirements through fdcp.ph/film-pitching-2026

  1. Original and unproduced short film script
    1. Maximum of 10 to 15 pages
    2. May be written in any Philippine language or dialect with an English or Tagalog translation
  2. Logline
  3. Storyline or Synopsis
  4. Project Dossier
    1. Preliminary project deck (PDF format)
    2. Director’s statement 
    3. Visual tone or mood board
    4. Target Audience
  5. Letter of Intent
    1. 500 words or less 
    2. Addressed to the agency
  6. One (1) Valid ID 
  7. Curriculum Vitae (CV) including filmography or list of creative works 
  8. Signed attestation 

The deadline for applications is July 1, 2026, while the workshop will take place from July 27 to 31, 2026, in Cebu City.
