FDCP FILMS FOR PEACE 2026 SHORT FILM COMPETITION CULMINATES WITH STORIES THAT INSPIRE PEACE
MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) officially wrapped up this year’s Films for Peace Short Film Competition with its screening, talkback, and awarding ceremony last September 26, 2026, at the FDCP Cinematheque Centre Manila.
These are the films that made it to this year’s Films for Peace Competition:
- Ang Latagaw Nga Mga Langgam by Michael Compoc
- Ang Pugad sa Ibabaw Kang Bantayan by Mark Joseph Perez
- Awtopsiya ng Lupa by Drenzel Calopez
- Bagito by Mark Delos Santos
- Trash Talkers by Angela Marie Espiritu and Sarah Silva
After the screening, the filmmakers took the stage for a lively talkback moderated by Whaqyn Olalia, sharing the ideas, inspirations, and creative journeys behind their films.
The event concluded with the awarding of this year’s winners, led by FDCP Chairman and CEO Jose Javier Reyes, who encouraged all the filmmakers to keep telling their stories, and reminded them that they are the next generation of storytellers.
- Best Short Film: Bagito by Mark Delos Santos
- Special Jury Prize: Ang Pugad sa Ibabaw Kang Bantayan by Mark Joseph Perez
- Special Mention: Awtopsiya ng Lupa by Drenzel Calopez
