AFAN BOOT CAMP FOR YOUNG FILMMAKERS OPENS CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), in partnership with the Asian Film Alliance Network (AFAN) and Production and Storytelling (PaS), has officially opened applications for the AFAN Boot Camp for Young Filmmakers, a multi-day program designed to bring together emerging Asian filmmakers for an immersive training in film development, collaboration, and co-production.
The program will feature a film lab where selected participants will undergo intensive training and mentorship in script development, project pitching, and international co-production. Participants will also have opportunities to get their work screened publicly in cinematheques and expand their network by connecting with fellow filmmakers and industry professionals on the global stage.
Set to take place from August 9 to 14, 2026 in Metro Manila, the AFAN Boot Camp for Young Filmmakers aims to strengthen regional collaboration and nurture the new generation of upcoming Asian storytellers.
Interested Filipino applicants may submit their entries until May 22, 2026.
