POLICY DEVELOPMENT RESEARCHER

Job Description:

Use and appropriate and creative methodology to design and manage a research, which may involve the use of quantitative and/or qualitative methods and may include both pilot and development work:

  • Design questionnaires
  • Apply a range of research techniques to gather relevant information, including document analysis, surveys, case studies and interviews (face to face, telephone and online)

  • Assist the Festival Development Division in dealing with International and Regional Festivals and film-related events;
  • Conceptualize programs for the development of local film festivals are geared towards recognition, promotion, and protection of cultural diversity;
  • Identify and process applications for the various assistance programs spearheaded by the FDCP for filmmakers;
  • Represent FDCP in film festivals or other film-related events, such as awards, symposia, lectures, workshops and the like;
  • Create media-related collaterals in relation to the vision and mission of the Festival Development Division;
  • Perform other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Job Description:

  • Help PFA in finding information facts on film titles and their present-day copyright holder
  • Communicating with outside people and institutions
  • Find information on the titles in our collection.
  • Find copyright owners for titles in our collection.
  • Handle the negotiations and MOAs for future restoration projects with copyright owners.
  • Generate Monthly reporting on PFA activities.
  • Handle communication with other institutions regarding screening projects and partnerships.
  • Help with inquiries and handle the film access room for outside researchers, students and the public at large.
  • Help out with cataloging and database encoding.
