SEAPAVAA's 25th Silver Jubilee Anniversary, Conference and General Assembly
The Southeast Asia-Pacific Audiovisual Archive Association (SEAPAVAA), an association of organizations and individuals involved in the development of audiovisual archiving in Southeast Asia and the Pacific as to preserve and provide access to region's rich audiovisual heritage, will be organizing its 25th Conference virtually within the week of April 19 to 23, 2021, with the theme "AV Archiving in Changing Times: Successes, Failures, and Challenges".
Last year, the association’s 24th conference that was supposed to have taken place in Da Nang, Vietnam, got cancelled due to the onset of the global pandemic which we all are still currently facing to this day. Its General Assembly and its 2020 SEAPAVAA Elections however still proceeded, albeit in an electronic form.
For this year's conference, SEAPAVAA will be celebrating its Silver Jubilee anniversary. It has been 25 years since its formal establishment in February 1996 in Manila, Philippines. Participants can look forward to various events to be organized by the association.
SEAPAVAA would also like to mention its General Assembly will be also done virtually from May 3 to 28, and proper notices will be given later on.
