There is no registration fee for joining. We will not ask for any monetary contributions for this film lab and festival.

Do I have to submit a finished short film to join the Sine Kabataan 5 short film lab and festival?
No. For the initial selection process, you just need to submit your original story concept/script as an official entry. As a part of the requirements, however, applicants must have already produced previous short film.

I do not have a valid government ID available. What other IDs can I submit?
You may submit your valid school ID as an alternative to join the Sine Kabataan 5 short film lab and festival.

We want to submit an entry as a team. Who do we put as an applicant?
You can put the director/scriptwriter as the applicant and/or proponent. The proponent of the project will be mainly held responsible for the entire duration and process of the film lab and festival. The proponent must also be around 18-30 years old only.

Does the entire production team need to be around 18-30 years old?
No. Only the proponent needs to be around 18-30 years old.

Whose valid ID and other information do we submit?
The valid ID and information on the application form to be submitted should always be the proponent’s.

What film information do we write? Is it the previously produced short film?
The film information on the application form should be on the story concept you are submitting and not the story concept of a previously produced short film.

Can I submit more than one entry?
You may submit as many entries as you like under the same name, but each entry must have its own corresponding script and application form.

Is the submitted story concept the same story we will make if we get chosen for the top 10?
Yes. Whatever story concept gets approved and chosen, it’ll be the same story that will be produced and turned into a 5-minute short film.

What will happen after my story concept gets selected?
Twenty (20) concepts will be shortlisted and will undergo story development lab and film pitching with the Sine Kabataan Selection Committee. From the film pitch, ten (10) projects will be chosen as finalists and will be selected for development and production. The chosen finalists will be given a grant amounting to Php 100,000 to produce Sine Kabataan Short Film.

Can my previously produced short film be more than 5 minutes?
Yes. The 5-minute guideline including OBB and CBB is only for the film concept entry that you will be submitting.

Can we submit a previously produced short film school project or does it need to have been published online?
You can submit either of the two.

Can I be any part of the production team from the previously produced short films to submit an entry?
You have to be the director and/or scriptwriter of the previously produced short films.

Can there be more than two representatives that will join the film labs?
