The FDCP First Draft! Short Film Screenwriting Workshop is officially underway!
A screening of ‘Agapito’ kicked off the first day of the workshop, setting the tone for creativity and inspiration.
Glynda Descuatan, vice chair of the Negros Oriental Tourism Council, also warmly welcomed all attendees to the event.
Mentors Kyla Romero and Martika Escobar shared their creative journeys, from their early inspirations to their experiences that shaped them into thriving filmmakers today. Participants then took a deep dive into technical writing, film structure, and visual storytelling, followed by breakout sessions where they exchanged ideas and learned from one another.
The session also tackled one of every writer’s biggest challenges: overcoming writer’s block.
