The Film Development Council of the Philippines’ (FDCP) held its first Academic Film Society (AFS) members’ gathering of the year. on April 30 at the Cinematheque Centre Manila, Philippine Film Heritage Building.
FDCP Chairman & CEO Jose Javier Reyes opened the program, welcoming representatives of AFS member schools. This was followed by an open forum to share insights and suggestions. The AFS also shared updates on the Student Film Assistance Program (SFAP), including the film teachers’ training program and the upcoming Film Education Convention (FilmEC) this year.
The gathering reaffirmed the FDCP’s commitment to strengthening film education across the country by fostering collaboration among academic institutions and providing a platform that nurtures the next generation of Filipino filmmakers.
