PH to participate in Asia’s Biggest Entertainment Marketplace

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, MARCH 8, 2022– The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) will be bringing two of its programs together with eight local production companies at the Hong Kong International Film & TV Market (HK FILMART) for a virtual gathering on March 14-17, 2022. 

HK Filmart is internationally renowned for putting together more than 7,000 producers, distributors, investors, and other film professionals every year in one massive exhibition of projects. As they continue to welcome various content for films, television programmes, and digital content for entertainment, Asia’s leading entertainment marketplace once again opens its doors for a hybrid format of event for its 26th edition. 

The agency’s UniPhilippines and the FilmPhilippines Office will be leading the country’s online participation in a network of potential partners and distributors. 

FDCP’s dedicated arms for international exposure, UniPhilippines and FilmPhilippines are together in promoting the local film industry to the world–UniPhilippines for strengthening collaborations for film distribution and FilmPhilippines for promoting the country as a prime filming location. With this end in mind, the HK FILMART stands out as a viable platform for building networks within the Asian region and beyond. 

PH delegation will be joined by local film industry representatives, Digital Dreams Inc., Reyes   Productions, IRONoriel Productions, RR Entertainment, ABS-CBN Production and Co-Production, Daluyong Studios, Atom and Anne Mediaworks Corp, and North Luzon Cinema Guild Inc. who will all be attending online to close deals for project collaborations and distribution.  

Each production company is entitled to showcase up to seven films and have their own virtual meeting platform to connect and engage with the various international industry leaders. They are also granted full access to all official webinars and their replays, and the full list of the Film Market’s registered participants.
