Cine Europa 18 at the FDCP Cinematheques

This year, Cine Europa celebrates its 18th year of bringing contemporary European cinema to the Filipino people.  The festival features the theme "Coming of Age," highlighting the exuberance and vitality of youth.  The line-up consists of 23 critically acclaimed films from eighteen European countries, of which are sixteen EU member states along with Norway and Switzerland.

The festival travels to the regional Cinematheques on the following dates:

Baguio: September 22 – 27

Iloilo: September 29 – October 4

Zamboanga: October 13 – 18

Davao: November 3 – 8

The Philippine Cinematheques invite EU delegates and regional government officials to attend their respective openings, with Cinematheque Baguio's on September 26, Cinematheque Iloilo's on October 3, Cinematheque Zamboanga's on October 17, and Cinematheque Davao's on November 7.

In partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines, Cine Europa 18 is organised by the European Union Cultural Group in Manila and EU Cultural Institutes accredited to the Philippines including the Embassies of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Spain, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, the Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines, Instituto Cervantes de Manila, British Council, Goethe-Institut, Philippine-Italian Association, and Alliance Française.

Admission is free for all screenings at all locations.
